December 2004. Last month of the year is always full of year-end gatherings, be it lunch, dinner, with families, friends, or colleagues. I just got home from one.
Ten-course dinner for $23/person is not bad at all 🙂 I liked some on the menu, for example: the deep fried shrimp-crab ball, braised lobster with glass noodle, braised mushroom with chinese broccoli, steamed fish with ginger and green onion.
It rained since morning but it felt warmer… enjoyed chatting with friends over food and wine 🙂 Now, I’ve got back to work. Have to finish a report. And, hmm… I’m glad to get an e-mail from a long time friend, Bang Ulla… the future Governor of Sinjai 🙂 🙂 Eh, La, don’t you remember we were willing to be your campaign think-tank couple years ago? Well, if you do one day… remember that we’re once young and have this dream about a proud and dignified Indonesia!
OK, La, with this note I accept your invitation to go hiking the Bawakaraeng* when I get home.
Note: Bawakaraeng* is a mountain in South Sulawesi with altitude of 2,830m above sea level. Follow this link to get more info.
