Today was even busier than yesterday. I got to the office at a quarter to 9AM, because I wanted to be ready for a meeting with Wendy. We couldn’t start until around 9:45AM because she had to talk to a Client.
9:45AM – 12:30PM: Meeting with Wendy. We talked, shared, discussed about many things. I’m afraid I couldn’t share it with you… it’s company’s matter, confidential.
12:35 – 1:25PM: Lunch out with Wendy and Zoe. Then, they accompanied me to the souvenir shop to buy some things for my friends at home. I wished I could do more shoppings, but I couldn’t.
1:30 – 2:35PM: Asia-Pacific teleconference about revenue, next year budget, and our planning for the upcoming head of units meeting in Singapore in August. Oh, man, there are so many “meals” on my plate right now.
2:35 – 3:15PM: I went out to take fresh air and to clear up my mind. On the way back, I bought some coffee and fetched one for Wendy.
3:15 – 4:00PM: Discussion with Tanya on some special surveys and international survey initiative.
4:00 – 4:15PM: I called Alex in KL to clarify some issues regarding one of our valuable Client. I knew it’s coming…
4:15 – 4:45PM: A time with Golnar talked about some other survey things.
4:45 – 5:00PM: Happy hour with wine and chips *smile*. I gave Golnar, Tanya, and Becky some mementos from Indonesia. And I soon returned to work.
5:30 – 7:45PM: More discussions and knowledge sharing with Wendy. I was really tired but I needed to make the most out of my time in Sydney. I gave some mementos too to Danny and Wendy.
Then, I went back to the hotel with Wendy — just to drop off my laptop. A while later, Brian (Wendy’s husband) picked us up. The couple were so kind to give me a drive around the north Sydney and showed me Sydney at night. I took some pictures of the Opera House, Circular Quay, and the Bridge. Then, to Balmoral Beach where huge, milllion-dollar houses can be found on the cliff. They’d like to invite me for dinner, but I had to say “no”. I needed to do the packing tonight.
All stores and shops were already closed. I didn’t feel to eat dinner by myself in the restaurant downstairs. So, I just had my sandwich, kiwi, yogurt, and green tea in my room.
I need to get up early tomorrow, because I want to take the last view of Circular Quay with its Opera House view, probably to Darling Harbour again. If I’m lucky, I’ll be able to get more wine.
