In this APLT (Asia Pacific Leadership Team) meeting we had dinner at Insomnia within Chijmes area. Chijmes used to be a convent and a school. Now it’s one of the prime entertainment area in Singapore.
I counted there were 20 people joined in the club dinner: Simon, Sridhar, Alex, Amitesh, Hern, Angie, Billie, Anne, Anuchit, Gene, Connie, Tamas, Nicole, Christian, Kate, Sandra, Roland, Wendy, Yasuyo, and I.
The atmosphere was nice. We talked, discussed things, shared experiences, and laughed over silly things we’ve done.
I had chili chicken salad, oven baked salmon with veggies & mash potatoes, and Yellow Tail Shiraz.
Just realized that FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) in Mongolia increases significantly – higher even than Vietnam. Alex said that any flight to Mongolia is always full. Mongolia has many chemical companies. Hern said better watch out if you happen to have been assigned to accompany Mongolian CEO to lunch or dinner – they’re heavy drinkers and will ask you to drink too.
A lot of things happen in the world right now and sometimes you don’t realize how interesting these colorful landscapes are.
I didn’t take the chocolate cake because I was already full. Yeah, better hit the road back to the hotel… still need to check e-mails, working on some stuffs, etc.
