My niece and nephew were still having their afternoon nap when I had to check in to the hotel. After I settled all the check-in rituals I thought about going out to buy some bottled water and fruits. Well, there in the lobby I met Hern, Nancy and Kate. They thought about going out for dinner and were waiting for Connie and Amitesh to join. So, I changed the plan and went with them for a group dinner. Billie passed the group dinner because she promised to have dinner with her friend.
The initial plan was to have dinner in one of the hotel in Sentosa Island. Hern drove us all there. Yet, the place was full, there were actually two weddings. So, we changed our plan and headed to East Coast Seafood Center – the usual seafood restaurant named Red House. (It’s very hard to find a parking spot when we arrived there. It seemed like everybody went out to have dinner here.)
The menu: chili crab, black pepper crab, bamboo clam with Chinese wine and oyster sauce, drunken prawn, Hong Kong khai lan, seafood hor fun, fried man tou, hot and sour soup, and of course Heineken. *smile* Excellent choice of meals!
During the dinner we had this lively and off-the-record discussion on the business and meeting in the next couple of days. I heard there will be some surprising news tomorrow….
